INVESTMENTS SAGA 3:

EEGC - DOWN TO A PENNY!

Nothing much has happened with the company since I first invested 5 years ago—except go down in value.

It's January 2012, EEGC is at a low point. Question is, will it recover or die? No one knows at this time but it looks rather bleak.

I can't get any answers from anyone. Everyone's mute.

It doesn't look good. My $200,000 investment is now worth $60,000.

TYPICAL CHART:

CURRENT CHART:

EEGC has a new Chief Financial Officer, David Villarreal, Jr. He holds great promise. But the current thinking is that the CEO, Malcolm Bendall, should be replaced!

And in contrast, OIL is at record highs—hovering over $100 a barrel.

I also feel bad for the several people I got to invest in the stock, thinking it was going to the moon. But there's always hope.

INVESTMENTS SAGA 2:

TASMANIAN OIL

In May of 2005, an investment friend of mine suggested I look into an oil exploration company. It was located in Tasmania, Australia. They had found, they thought, a large deposition of subterranean oil, gas, coal, helium and zinc. I invested into the company $25,000 for $.20 a share, then considered a good price. It was called Empire Energy International Corporation, EEGC.

It looked very good. They had invested tens of millions of dollars into very sophisticated exploration. They were looking for start up money. I know 'wildcatting' is very speculative, but this looked like a sound deal.

I invested several times in this company over the years with the stock price going up and down—mostly down.

They had some success with zinc mining but it seemed to piddle away. Oil was always the target. I became friends with several of the major investors.

Several years went by with many false starts

  ---almost there!

In 2008, they actually started drilling. They had funding; They erected a derrick!

Then the financial crisis happened and we lost our funding.

By 2009, I had over $150,000 invested. It still looked promising. But I was getting weary of the time it was taking. The price was $0.03 a share.

INVESTMENTS SAGA:

DIVERSIFICATION

I've felt for quite some time that I should diversify my investments. I'm only in an oil stock and a health stock. (Ted, my neighbor, has been after me to be more diversified for years.)

Well, I'm buying a Canadian oil/gas stock: Altima Resources Ltd (ARSLF over-the-counter) in Alberta.
They have 15 square miles in the middle of the Chambers Oil Field where several 'majors' have working oil wells. Altima has drilled 5 and they have all 'come in'.
It's ready to really take off. My investment friend, Mike, thinks it will be $5. a share in 5 years.

Right now it's 5¢ a share. I'm buying 200,000 shares. WITH THAT comes warrants guaranteeing 200,000 more available for one year for 10¢ a share!

Mike says he expects to hold out a few years when it's bought out by a larger company.

  ---Wish me good luck!
