I've grown very attached to Memphis. And her symptoms are getting better under my care (worming medicine, antibiotics, weight gain, sweeter breath, etc.). However, the cat contract promises a replacement in case of genetic problems. I DON'T WANT A REPLACEMENT CAT, I WANT TO KEEP MEMPHIS. MEMPHIS SAGA:
My new kitten, Memphis. (Named after the ancient capital of Egypt.)
I got her about a month ago delivered from a cattery in New Jersey. She's a seven-month old, ruddy Abyssinian - cute, affectionate and playful. But I noted she was very small and had terrible bad breath. When I took her in for spaying, the vet discovered probable major health problems! Off to the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary Hospital in Philadelphia. They confirmed either Amyloidosis (deadly deposition of proteins in organs) or Feline Infectious Peritonitis (a deadly organ-involved disease). Prognosis: 2 months to a year to live!

OMG So sorry to hear about Memphis! I know how quickly we become attached to our pets and feel badly for your situation.
If there is any way we can be of help please let us know.
Comming from a reputable breeder are not the kittens offered for sale checked out by a vet?
Ken & Don
Don says, Thank you so much Jeanie, Ken and Don. To lose a pet is serious. But Memphis is a delight and I'm going to enjoy and love her for her short life.
